JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC gel is injected into the lips and for a fuller lip augmentation or correction of perioral lines.

Perioral lines are wrinkles around the mouth that happen due to loss of hyaluronic acid and collagen in the skin, as a result of aging.

Other causes can be due to the loss of subcutaneous fat. A result of aging, reduced overall volume, as well as the loss of supportive bone density in the mandible. Sun exposure and smoking can also cause damage to the skin causing perioral lines.

Treatment can typically last up to 1 year.

 

Are there side effects of JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC?


Potential side effects included temporary reactions at the treatment site such as tenderness, swelling, firmness, lumps/bumps, bruising, pain, redness, discoloration, and itching. Side effects are mild or moderate and lasted 30 days or less.
